"A Portrait of my daughter once a week, every week in 2014"

Lottie Cakes: ... And were officially home! After 14 hours on the Greyhound we are tucked away in the last days of summertime with our family. It's been so nice seeing you experience childhood as I knew it, barefoot and fancy free. Whole afternoons of entertainment can come from the end of a hose,  grass in between our toes and sticky chins from popsicles in the sunshine. We've had corn on the cob for every dinner grilled straight on the bbq and fresh fish caught from your daddy just hours before.
After almost a year since seeing everyone you got off the bus and ran straight into your grandmas arms, giving them big kisses and excited giggles. Taking your cousins hand you two led each other down the street like you saw each other every day and you knew your grandpas house right away. When we reached the countryside you ran into your great-grandpas office knowing exactly where to find him for a cuddle.
It goes to show love remembers.
