"A portrait of my daughter once a week, every week in 2014"

Lottie Cakes: 3 weeks til take off and your papa bear is working round the clock. To get in a little cuddle and some quality time with him we've been popping into the cafe for some love and a few of our last chances for Melbourne coffee (for the next few months at least!). Here you are wearing your overalls, which you refer to as your "Grandpas" since thats what he wears while working away in the garage.

Now your vocabulary is in full swing and when I am a bit stressed or sad you look at me and say" Aww, come here sweetheart!" With your tiny arms held out wide, patting me gently with your little hands as you hug me tight. Does it get any sweeter than that?

You just learned the word and meaning of scared and your previous fearless self is pretending to be "scawed" of everything, kangaroos being the main culprit. I'm hoping this stage will be passing us by soon...

Favorites from Week 21:
This Flower Child.
and This little Ginger tree elf
and This little guy preparing to make a wish
also This perfect portrait of childhood days.

  1. When I look sad my son does this too! He would hug me and say 'Its okay' and the pat at the back. Kids are so sensitive to our emotions and they do what they can to pacify us like how we pacify them. #LivingArrows

    1. I know, Isn't it so beautiful? I worry sometimes when she copies my less-than-desirable actions but when she is just so gentle and caring and copies the way I react to her when she needs it, it is so special. I love seeing things the way she must.

    1. Thanks:) I love the hair too, I wish I could take credit for it but I have dark hair and almost black eyes so my little fiery haired, blue eyed babe was a bit of a surprise! I think people must think Im the Nanny ;) hehe... xx
